I love Morning doves and find their cooing so relaxing. What a lovely picture of this fellow..great colors and the pose is just right. Canuck

I have a pair that stay in my yard all year. This is one of the pair. They are pretty much used to me and my camera flashes by now. They even started nesting in my yard this Spring, but abandoned it before they had any eggs, due to its bad location. Still, they come to my feeders every day. I have a new Canon EOS Rebel XSi with an EF 75-300mm Zoom lense, a Hoya Polarizing Filter and a UV filter, that I got for Father's Day, so I use the more common birds in my yard as test subjects to learn how to use my camera in various settings.
